The Dunston Harriers point-to-point was staged at Ampton on Sunday.
Conditions underfoot were remarkably good, with the official going being declared good/firm, good/soft in places (writes WENDY LAY & CAROLE LAWRENCE).
Robert Abrey, from Wretham, reached sky high success by training the first winner of the day - the Confined - with Cosmic Sky, a horse owned by Major and Mrs Wilson.
Confidently ridden by Rupert Stearn, he led all the way.
When challenged on the final circuit, he ran strongly up the hill, beating the opposition by 15 lengths.
Trainer's wife, Jane, is taking some of the credit as the horse's chief work-rider! ...
