The 2007 Superstox season got underway at Great Yarmouth on Sunday, with three local drivers competing for the East Anglian Championship.
Close racing was the order of the evening and, as the flag fell to end heat one, fractions of a second covered winner Matt Carberry from second-placed Barry Randall and Garry Sparkes, in third.
Heat two fell to Henry King, but Hepworth's Randall was again second. Carberry was fourth, one place ahead of Sparkes.
A strong field of some 24 cars lined up for the final. The lead changed constantly until, on lap 18, Randall finally established a three-length advantage ahead of King. He held this to give the family ...
