(MONDAY JANUARY 8) A SWANBOURNE retailer has won an award for the best village shop and post office in the county.

Swanbourne Stores was nominated in the Best Rural Retailer awards by a number of people from throughout the village.

With its county award, the shop, which is owned by Roger and Marion Lowe, was then put through to the regional category.

Mrs Lowe said: "I am really chuffed about this award.
