(MONDAY JANUARY 15) BUCKINGHAMSHIRE County Council's Cabinet has rejected the Milton Keynes Partnership's (MKP) draft strategy for the distribution of new housing at Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes is one of four major growth areas in the South East region. The Milton Keynes and South Midlands sub regional strategy allows for 60,700 dwellings to be built in and around the new town between 2006 and 2031.
The MKP proposal would see 15,200 homes being built to the South West of Milton Keynes in Aylesbury Vale District by 2031 and another 3,200 homes to the south east of the city in Mid Bedfordshire District.
