BOSTON, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Officials of the parent companies of Beth Israel Hospital and Deaconess Hospital have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that calls for the formulation of a new parent corporation (tentatively referred to as the HealthGroup), and for a full merger of the hospitals into a single Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This is the first major milestone in the discussions that the two organizations have been conducting since they announced their intention to merge in late February.
