School taps into the sun.

PEACEHAVEN Community School has gone green with help from a [pounds sterling]2million eco-scheme.

The school became the 100th in the country to be given solar panels as part of the Green Energy for Schools initiative.

The panels, which cost more than [pounds sterling]20,000 to erect, are half funded by the Government's low carbon building programme and half by the Co-operative group.

They will generate renewable electricity which will reduce the school's overall energy costs.
