A PLANNING application for a two-storey extension including a wind turbine caused much debate between Tring Town councillors at a recent meeting.
Town councillors recommended an application from the Gurnett family in Sulgrave Crescent for refusal due to the noise of the wind turbine and overbearing nature of the extension at a meeting last week.
Two members of the public spoke out against the plans and a number of councillors expressed strong views about the wind turbine.
Cllr Lloyd Harris said: "A wind turbine is wholly inappropriate for a built-up area. Without a doubt, the efficiency of it must be very questionable."
