DAYTON, Ohio, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of The Mead Corporation, one of the world's leading forest products companies, today elected Jerome F. Tatar, 49, president and chief operating officer, and a member of Mead's Board of Directors. Tatar previously was vice president-operating officer for Mead since 1994. He reports to Steven C. Mason, 60, Mead's chairman and chief executive officer, who has held the additional title of president since 1994.
