On July 24, 2008, the business division Industrial Filtration of MAHLE Filtersysteme GmbH signed an agreement concerning the acquisition of Amafilter Group Holding BV, headquartered in Alkmaar, Netherlands. The Amafilter Group employs approximately 450 employees and is expecting an estimated sales volume of 80 million Euros (USD 124.6 M) in 2008. MAHLE Filtersysteme will take over 100 percent of the shares and integrate the company into the MAHLE Group expectedly as of September 1, 2008.
