BUDAPEST. AUGUST 5. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - TRANSPORTATION: Pecs Municipality Seeks Private Partner to Operator Public Transport Co - The municipality of Pecs, southern Hungary, has announced plans to sell 49% of the local public transportation firm, PK Zrt, by October. Under the first phase of the procedure, 32% of PK will go under the hammer in return for a HUF 1-bln capital increase to the company's current HUF 2.1 bln.

If the chosen buyer is able to operate the company profitably, it will become eligible to buy the other 17% package for HUF 562 mln. [Vilaggazdasag, Napi Gazdasag]
