League One Walsall entertained Barclays Premier League new-boys West Bromwich Albion in a match which was touted as the West Midlands Trilogy - Part Three but which never quite lived up to its glitzy Mlm title billing.
An Anthony Gerrard goal in the 26th minute and a late strike from substitute Troy Deeney was the difference between the two sides and Saddlers' boss Jimmy Mullen was pleased with this run-out as he prepares his side for their League One campaign which kicks off in three days' time.
