PEOPLE in Leeds are gearing up for the annual Lord Mayor's Walk - except the Lord Mayor himself.
Coun Bill Hyde can't make it to his charity stroll around the city's landmarks on Sunday, April 23, because he's on official business in China.
Instead, Deputy Lord Mayor Coun Ann Castle will be there and will also be completing the 2.7-mile walk herself.
Last year 400 people joined the first ever Lord Mayor's Walk, which is organised by the Rotary Club of Leeds.
Inspiration had come from a Canadian walk dreamt up by the Vancouver Quadra Rotary Club which was seen by a Leeds rotarian who liked the way both ...
