Firm that made uniforms for Waterloo now creates hi-tech suits for RAF

A LEEDS firm which made the uniforms for British soldiers fighting at the Battle of Waterloo is now helping protect the Royal Air Force's famous Red Arrow pilots from harm.

A W Hainsworth and Sons, who have also supplied furnishing fabrics to Windsor Castle and computer billionaire Bill Gates's home, is now leading the field in the development of heat and flame resistant fabrics.
