Following on the heels of a licensing agreement for Sara Lee to manufacture and distribute Polo Ralph Lauren men's robes, loungewear and pajamas last month, Ralph Lauren has also licensed men's underwear to the giant apparel manufacturer, beginning with a spring 1997 line. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Since 1988, the license was held by Tugaloo River Boxer Co., which will continue to ship orders for the fall/holiday 1996 season. Gene Morris, president of Toccoa, Ga.-based Tugaloo River, said he plans to acquire another designer license.
