LEEDS'S flagship shopping centre, the Victoria Quarter, has been sold by owner Paul Sykes - but the deal is shrouded in mystery.
The Yorkshire entrepreneur's Highstone Group put the centre on the market earlier this year with an estimated price tag of more than [pounds sterling]100m - more than double the [pounds sterling]47.5m it paid for the centre five years ago.
Reports recently suggested that a major Irish investor was lining up to buy the centre and property industry magazine Estates Gazette speculated that the purchase price would be in the region of [pounds sterling]125m.
