Tens of thousands of pounds of public cash is being spent by Yorkshire's redevelopment agency on lavish perks for its staff.
Yorkshire Forward - which was set up to regenerate run-down parts of the region - has sparked outrage after spending almost [pounds sterling]50,000 in the last two years so its staff can enjoy activities such as hat making, tennis lessons, scuba-diving, saxophone-playing, massages and gym membership.
But the individual bonuses, which run to over 200, have provoked fury among MPs and community groups, who claim the money would be better spent creating jobs and training people.
