Millions more extra cash is to be put up by the Government to get more people out of their cars and onto their bikes.
Transport Secretary Douglas Alexander today announced [pounds sterling]30m over the next three years for cycling projects - double the current funding.
The extra cash will be directed at encouraging children to use their bikes and promoting the use of two-wheeled transport as an alternative to the car for the school run.
Mr Alexander wants to reverse the culture of children becoming the "back of the car" generation.
