LEEDS motormouth DJ Chris Moyles has been beaten by Barnsley broadcaster Michael Parkinson in a survey to find the "most proper Yorkshire celebrity".
"Parky" polled 28 per cent of a UK-wide vote, putting him ahead of fellow son of Barnsley, cricketer Darren Gough (24 per cent) and Sheffield actor, Sean Bean (22 per cent). The trio gathered nearly three quarters of all votes and came ahead of Leeds celebrities Chris Moyles and model Nell McAndrew.
