A FORMER Lord Mayor of Leeds today paid tribute to the generosity of people who contributed to a charity fund-raising drive throughout his year of office.
St George's Crypt and the Hospital Heartbeat Appeal are to share the proceeds of the Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal.
The final total was revealed as [pounds sterling]116,032 by last year's Lord Mayor, Councillor Bill Hyde, and his wife, Patricia, who were joined by representatives from both charities at a special Civic Hall ceremony.
