Leeds Council looks at money-spinning pop concerts and the plight of travellers

POP star Robbie Williams's two sell-out concerts at Roundhay Park set the city's cash tills ringing and placed it in the international limelight.
According to a Yorkshire Tourist Board estimate, the events provided a [pounds sterling]10m boost to the local economy, a full meeting of Leeds Council was told.
Coun Andrew Carter, the council's deputy leader, said the concerts had attracted over 170,000 people over two nights and had been a great success.
