'[pounds sterling]7.5m in the red' by next April

THE Government is "concerned" that Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is likely to be [pounds sterling]7.5m in debt by next April.
That was the message from Trust finance director Neil Chapman to other health bosses.
He told them if the trust does end the financial year in debt, it is on course to get the worst possible score in one category of NHS performance ratings next year.
Yesterday the YEP revealed how hospital chiefs were resigned to also getting the lowest rating in the quality of services category because two key targets are being missed.
