Villagers demand public inquiry into proposals

A CAMPAIGN to stop fields being turned into a massive methane gas plant is being spearheaded by a Leeds heart surgeon.
Villagers marched on Wakefield County Hall on Wednesday carrying pictures of the fields they want to save from plans for a massive methane gas plant.
Residents from the Westlea and Westwinds on Purston Lane, Ackworth staged the protest as they stepped up their campaign to halt the controversial proposals from Alkane Energy UK.
