PLANNERS in Leeds say they are now happy with the design of a multi-million-pound shopping centre after they savaged the original ideas just a month ago.
Their approval has cleared the way for the redevelopment of the Headrow Shopping Centre in Leeds.
The developers, Propinvest Headrow Ltd Partnership, intend to re-name it The Core centre.
"There are two dozen retail units waiting for this scheme to go ahead," planning officer Rob Buchan told the city centre plans panel.
"This plan is much better," said Coun James Monaghan (Lib Dem, Headingley), when he heard of changes to the design.
