IT was one of the bloodiest battles of all time, with knights from the houses of York and Lancaster fighting for the greatest prize of all - England's royal crown.
But since Henry Lancaster, later Henry VII, won the War of the Roses in 1485, the rivalry between the two counties has rarely stretched beyond the sports fields.
That is, until this weekend, when the famous battle will be brought back to life at the Royal Armouries in Leeds - with added horsepower.
