NEW YORK, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning May 1, pursuant to a New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) order, Con Edison's more than 1 million natural gas customers will have the option to purchase gas from a supplier other than Con Edison. Under the plan, customers will be able to choose who will supply gas to them -- Con Edison, another utility, a non-utility supplier or marketer, or an aggregator supplying gas to a group of customers.
Customers who choose to remain with Con Edison do not have to take any action in order to continue receiving their service uninterrupted as usual. It is anticipated that natural gas customers in New York City and ...
