WOODBURY Minn.--By Best Buy's standards, its 36,000-square-foot store in this St. Paul suburb is ancient at two years old. Newer outlets are bigger, more colorful and better equipped with advanced merchandising tools.
But this store contains a vital piece of the future for Best Buy's 251 stores nationwide. Its appliance department is the testing ground for gourmet products, small electrics ad an expanded selection of major appliances.
