GLOWING tributes were paid to a brilliant young man whose life was cut short in its prime, a year ago.
During a memorial service at the Bharat Hindu Samaj temple, in Peterborough, some 400 friends, family, former teachers, teaching assistants and lecturers gathered to remember Amit Mehta.
One by one they spoke of the "dedicated" "polite" "caring" and "friendly" young man whose determination to succeed despite his many afflictions inspired them.
Amit (25) was profoundly deaf, partially sighted and suffered from diabetes and anaemia, which required regular blood transfusions.
