COUNCILLORS have urged the local authority to take a more hands-on approach to a sticky situation.
Liberal Democrat councillors want the city council to adopt a more positive approach to the removal of chewing gum from streets.
It's a sticky problem that leaves city council taxpayers to foot a clean-up bill which spirals into thousands of pounds.
Now the councillors want to burst the chewing gum fans' bubble and get the city council to purchase new equipment to blast away the problem.
