budding film-makers will be watching the Oscars with a knot in their stomach to see if a former pupil gets his hands on a statuette.
Film producer and ex-West Town Primary School pupil Andy Harries is in line for an Academy award for his work on the highly-acclaimed film The Queen.
But youngsters at the school are already on the road to copying the achievements of their star alumnus.
The pupils won the best foreign language film at last year's Peterborough Children's Film Awards with their production in French of Odysseus and the Swizacom. They were helped by staff at Jack Hunt School in Netherton, which is a specialist language school.
