A SHAKEN pensioner fought back tears as she relived the moment her beloved dog was thrown around in the air like "a rag doll" in a savage attack by a snarling Staffordshire bull terrier.
When the powerful animal had finished its onslaught, Diane Ray's miniature Schnauzer Rosie was left laying limp and lifeless in a pool of blood with horrific injuries.
Today, as Rosie recovers at the vets, Mrs Ray (64) issued a desperate appeal for anyone who knows the owners of the dog which attacked hers to come forward.
She believes the dog - which was one of a pair - will strike again, and fears a child may be on the receiving end next time.
