KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The trade of Manny Ramirez fulfilled the Red Sox' hysteria quotient for at least a couple more days.
Maybe, just maybe, everybody can calm down a little, now that Jacoby Ellsbury, not to mention Tim Wakefield, is rising to the occasion.
Ellsbury's terrific running catch in the fifth inning snuffed out the Royals' one and only rally, and he put the exclamation point on the Sox' once-again balanced attack with a three-run home run over the 410-foot mark in center in the seventh inning to seal the deal in an 8-2 victory.
