PHANTOMS have given their young players a boost by appointing British ice hockey legend Doug McEwen as junior section head coach.
McEwen will work alongside all the youth team coaches ranging from under 10s to under 19s, helping them to develop the youngsters and hopefully fulfil their ice hockey dreams.
The Canadian said: "I'm looking forward to the challenge. This will be a great opportunity for me to give something back to the game I love.
"I will oversee the coaching structure with all the junior coaches so we can get together and work out what we're doing with the kids, and pass on my experience."
