LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 1996--IndeNet Inc. (NASDAQ/NM:INDE) Thursday announced that SONY Electronics Inc. signed an agreement to resell signal switching software and hardware designed and manufactured by IndeNet's majority-owned subsidiary, Channelmatic Inc.
The hardware and software are for Managed Video Playback (MVP) applications specifically for SONY's VideoStore product, a powerful MPEG 2 digital video file server. The agreement authorizes SONY's VideoStore salespeople to resell Channelmatic's MVP products and support services, and is timed to complement a shift by the cable and broadcast industries to automated digital systems rather than analog ...
