DEEPING sportsman Mike Barnsdale flies out to Canada today to compete in the biggest event of his life.
The 51 year-old is in the British team for the World Duathlon Championships in Corner Brook and, as the current UK number one, he hopes to make a big impression.
Barnsdale - a member of Nene Valley Harriers, Fenland Clarion and Spalding Triathlon Club - will compete over a 10k run, 40k bike and 5k run and he's certainly not going there to make up the numbers.
