THE race for the Combination League title took a twist this weekend as Perkins Reserves extended their lead.
Deeping Sports slipped up, going down 3-1 to AFC Fletton Reserves, to leave Perkins with a nine-point lead at the summit.
Perkins picked up three points with 4-2 win over Leverington Reserves thanks to a double from Paul Johnson, a Steve Sansom strike and an own goal.
Neil Cousins and Stewart Harrison got the goals for Leverington.
Michael Sealey bagged two goals for AFC Fletton, with Graham Townsend getting the other goal, while Jack Leisner pulled one back for second-placed Deeping.
