EVERY day we wake to the sight of a cheery postman or woman on their way around the block delivering those all important parcels, cards and letters.
Royal Mail employs more than 400 people in Peterborough, many are delivery workers, but about 200 work at the huge collection and delivery unit in Papyrus Road, Werrington.
The company has had an eventful year as it continues to fight in an increasingly competitive mail marketplace to become the best and most trusted delivery organisation.
This can be seen in the two 24-hour strikes which hit Peterborough this month.
