WORCESTER - The ninth-inning magic is back at Hanover Insurance Park.
The Tornadoes trailed by three runs in the bottom of the ninth with Atlantic City closer Kyle George on the hill, but for the second time in two weeks, Worcester responded. Alex Trezza slapped a two-run double to deliver the winning run as the Tornadoes claimed an emotional, 7-6 victory over the Surf.
"We said it wasn't over, and we just needed a couple base-runners and put the pressure on them," Trezza said. "We did a great job tonight and the relievers did a great job keeping us in the game, and we battled. And that's all we could have asked."
