A CHERISHED cockatiel which flew away was found clinging on to the wall at the top of Ebor House.
Savanna, who usually sits happily on owner Geoff Carpenter's shoulder, decided to take off and have a fly around Bridlington last Wednesday.
Geoff contacted the Free Press to put an advert in the Lost and Found section but before it went in the paper the cockatiel had been found - but not caught!
The 46-year-old said: "He is in the aviary in summer and I decided to open the door and put him on my shoulder while I sat in the garden. For some reason he took right off."
Geoff, of Eastern Road, Bridlington, then watched as Savanna flew away ...
