FREE Press editor Nick Procter is writing to Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt about concerns over Bridlington Hospital.
He said: "Anyone who has read the stories of the two men who suffered heart attacks on the doorstep of a locked Bridlington Hospital will no doubt feel as angry and concerned as me.
"More than 300 people were so worried about the hospital's future they took to the streets for a protest last week.
"We at the Free Press fear the overnight closure of the minor injuries unit, a leaked report suggesting bed and job losses and a new 'review' of the maternity unit could be just the tip of the iceberg.
