A COUPLE from South Yorkshire have labelled Bridlington the dog mess capital of the country and have vowed never to return.

Eddie and Dorothy Freeman, who live in Sheffield, have visited Bridlington for the past three years and said they have seen the town centre and seafront get progressively dirtier.

Mr Freeman, 68, said: "This year we could not walk five yards without seeing dog muck and we are not coming back because of it.

"It looks like elephants have been here, not little dogs

"It is disgusting, everywhere you go you see dog mess - it is the dog mess capital of the country"
