Russia's trade surplus widened $40.5 billion year-on-year in the first half of 2008 to $110.1 billion, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said.
*** RUSSIAN INT'L RESERVES GROW 24.7% TO $595.5 BLN IN 7 MTHS - CB
Russia's international reserves grew $118.012 billion or 24.7% in January-July 2008 to $595.902 billion from $477.89 billion, the Central Bank said on its website.
The reserves grew $27.616 billion or 4.9% during July.
