Newsprint paper prices to calm after the Olympics - analyst
Shanghai. August 8. INTERFAX-CHINA - Newsprint paper prices, which have jumped sharply since the end of last year, will continue to grow albeit at slower speeds after the Olympic Games close, an analyst told Interfax Aug. 8.
Waste paper from the United States, the main source of newsprint paper in China, jumped from $212 per ton in early 2008 to $295 per ton this July, a difference of just under 40 percent.
