BEING wiped off the ambulance service's transport list meant a Bridlington woman missed an important hospital appointment.
Valerie Hetherington, of Lambert Road, was due to have a endoscopy at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham last Thursday.
However, the ambulance which was due to pick her up from home and take her to the hospital never arrived and she missed her appointment.
Her initial appointment was for July 25 and Mrs Hetherington, who has a number of part-time jobs, managed to arrange it so she had the day off.
The appointment was cancelled and rearranged for 2pm last Thursday so she arranged another day off.
