A MAN accused of smuggling the gun that killed Michael Hanley into a Dewsbury nightclub was found not guilty of murder on Wednesday.
The prosecution alleged Jamie Hislop entered the back door of Sheridan's, off Huddersfield Road, Ravensthorpe, on December 27 carrying the gun in his waistband and handed it to Darren Foley moments before he shot Mr Hanley.
But the charge against Hislop was dropped because of insufficient evidence to link him with the gun or the killing.
The prosecution's case was based on statements by two witnesses.
