LEOMINSTER - It's been said that all good things must come to an end.
The Leominster Post 151 American Legion baseball team learned that lesson yesterday as their season-opening 12-game winning streak came to an end with a 19-0, mercy-rule loss to East Side at Pin Cannavino Field.
"It is what it is. We lost in style, but we will be back," Leominster manager Sid Rafuse said. "We've played six games in five days so playing the stretch we have it's not a big deal, it's just one loss on the radar. If you're going to lose, you might as well lose big."
