Article: Borders police achieve crime solving record.

BORDERS Police have achieved the highest solved crime figures in the Lothian and Borders Police area, it was announced this week.

E'G Division' solved 3,763 of the 6,016 crimes recorded in the year ending March 31, three per cent up on last year's figure. The overall crime figure fell by two per cent from 6,159 for 2004-4 to 6,016 for 2004-5.

EDespite this success, Borders Commander chief superintendent Charlie Common is not complacent.
