CHORLEY will be frustrated not to have taken any points from this ragged home encounter.
The Magpies had moments of real promise, but couldn't seem to find the route to the goal, despite some poor defending from the visitors.
A ray of Bank Holiday sunshine broke through the clouds as kick-off loomed, but there was to be no fun in the sun for Chorley.
After five minutes the home side had an early scare, a floated ball in from the left fell to David Dickinson, who had squeezed through the Chorley defence, but his wild volley was blasted over the bar.
