CHORLEY Football Club have announced that joint-leading scorer and talisman Peter Wright has left the club.
The struggling side are yet to take any points from their first six games and have lost the financial backing of Trevor Hemmings.
Chorley manager Paul Lodge admitted that releasing striker Peter Wright was "a really tough decision".
He said: "Peter is a terrific player with a proven goalscoring record and a wonderful attitude, but because of our financial position we can't afford to keep him," he explained. "As it is, we have had numerous inquiries for him.
