Family's tribute to 'wonderful son' who died after running London Marathon

The family of a Westoning man who died after running the London Marathon have paid tribute to him as one of life's enthusiasts and a "wonderful son" who was always smiling.

Fitness coach David Rogers, 22, of Tyburn Lane, collapsed after completing Sunday's race in sweltering conditions from complications caused by kidney failure. He passed away peacefully the next day in hospital.

His father Chris described him as a determined man who had prepared "rigorously" for the event and was working towards a bright future in the fitness industry.
