A fine 6-4 win at Broxbourne on Saturday helped Bedford's men to bounce back from one of their heaviest home defeats in years.
Visitors Harleston beat them 5-0, while Bedford won their other game this year 4-2 at Dereham.
Alan Meredith made a welcome return and, along with Paul Livesy and stalwart Matt Bessy, Bedford dominated the midfield.
Worryingly for Bedford they conceded four goals in a match they controlled in both terms of territory and possession. Discipline is also of concern with numerous players temporarily suspended.
